DIY Tutorial: Creating Arm Parties !

Hey Everyone, I'm back today and I will be teaching you how to create the perfect arm stacks.
Arm stacking has become such a hot trend lately, it's very easy to do, and can add a touch of uniqueness to any outfit. It's very inexpensive, and guarantees a ton of fun!

LET'S GET STARTED!

Step 1: The Base

Pick a base for your arm stack, preferably a watch, or you could use your favourite thick bracelet. A base grounds the whole set, and most importantly, it prevents other bracelets from sliding around. But keep in mind that it has to be fitted to your wrist.

Step 2: The Rest of The Stack

There's no right or wrong way to pull together the rest of your stack, just mix around different bracelets, different metals, different textures.
To help you along the way, I have provided some examples of arm stacks.

For me, I only use metals (gold, silver, gunmetal).

And then I add a little pop of colour only when necessary, to match the rest of my outfit.

When wearing a thick chucky bracelet, like this double chain, be sure that's ALL you wear.
As the bracelet is already very thick, wearing other bracelets with it will make your arm stack look too overdone.

Mix different kinds of metals to create a more edgy look.
This kind of arm stack focuses heavily on the texture and colour of the bracelet.
So be sure to use different metals, and different kind of chains.

If you're going to a more glamourous event, add some glitter into your stack.
Bu only ONE bracelet should have glitter. Too much glitter will make pull attention away from the rest of your stack, and you don't want that to happen.
Excess glitter can also result in your stack looking too overdone.

So that's it ! I hope you guys enjoyed this tutorial :)
Have fun creating your arm stacks, just leave comments if you need my help I'll try to get back to you as soon as I can.
I would love to see your arm stacks too! Leave the links in the comment box below

November Favourites 2012

These are the beauty products I've used practically everyday this November.

HD Primer by MAKE UP FOR EVER
This is my first time using a Make Up For Ever product, and I am so in love with it. This minimizes pores and prepares your skin for makeup. It holds in my face powder really well and also helps smoothen out my skin.

Fortifying Vitamin Lotion by Nicole Miller (via Melalauca)
I've had this for a really long time, and I've only just started using it. I've noticed that starting this November, my skin gets really dry during the night time. So I've kinda been using it as a moisturizer/night cream. And by using this, I've noticed a huge difference in the dryness of my skin.

SPF15 Original Foundation by bareMinerals
I feel that this helps to mattify my skin, and control my oil. Just started using this, and I really wanted to try this as I know people personally as well as in the blog-o-sphere who swear by this. They say its an amazing product, I tried it, and I couldn't agree more.
In the Sephora store in Singapore, the bareMinerals counter has a large display of colour variation for this foundation, so you'll definitely find a colour that suits your skin tone.

Pink Guava Oil Control Film by Clean&Clear
I've used the original oil control film by this brand, the one in the blue packaging.
But this is my first time trying out the pink guava, and I really like it ! It has a really nice scent, it absorbs all the oil from my face really well, and the films are pink in colour !
Okay, I gotta admit, I initially got this because of the colour of the packaging and the films (I love pink! ), but I ended up really liking the scent too.

Cocoa Butter Formula Dark Chocolate & Peppermint Lip Butter by Palmer's
I get chapped lips really often, and this is my favourite lip butter.
I've used it for a really long time. And it does a great job at healing my lips.

Baby Lips in Soothing Cherry by MAYBELLINE
I've mentioned that I love the Cocoa Butter Formula Lip Butter, but I wanted to try this just because I didn't want to miss out on something better. Does this make sense?
Really love this too. And what I've done is that I've alternated between using this and the Cocoa Butter Formula one. I use that one on Mondays, Wednesday, Fridays, Sundays. And I use this on the other days in between.

Cotton Candy Petite Parfum by Rituelle via Forever New
Sorry if it doesn't show up quite as clearly in the photo :(

My favourite perfume. I love cotton candy, so this is like the perfect perfume for me.

Face It Radiance Concealer Dual Veil by THE FACE SHOP
Been using this concealer for quite a while now, it's really inexpensive and does an amazing job at covering my under eye circles, and any other imperfections.
Highly recommend this for anyone looking for a good concealer at a lower price point.

So that's it for the BEAUTY part of my November Favourites !
FASHION part is coming real soon !
So is the Arm Candy Tutorial !

Intermission

In my previous post, I talked about doing an Arm Candy/Arm Stacking Tutorial.
It will be up right after my November Favourites post.
The resaon why my November Favourites post had to go up first is because November just ended and I didn't want the post going up so late, that it becomes my December Favourites.
Ciao!
