Cooking With Cyan: New Series + Yogurt Snacks !!

Hi everyone ! Today I will be introducing you to my NEW SERIES, Cooking With Cyan !!
In this series, I will be doing some food-related posts, and cooking tutorials as well as my own original recipes so you can try them out at home ! Don't worry, these tutorials are really simple, and very easy to recreate. In this first part of my Cooking With Cyan series, I will be showing you guys my current obsession, Yogurt Snacks !!

I should warn you that this is a personal preference kind of thing, I really like this snack, but some people might not. If you want to take a risk, go ahead and try it ;)

LET'S GET STARTED >>>>

First off, these are the ingredients you need !!

Any kind of yogurt is fine !

You can use any kind of biscuits, you don't necessarily need these vegetable crackers, I like using these because they taste AMAZINGGGG

Take some yogurt and put it in a bowl. It looks kinda icky, but we're just gonna let that slide... I PROMISE it's gonna look wayyy better in a sec !

And then I'm just gonna take a packet of those biscuits

Open it up, and put some slices into the yogurt !

And we're done !! That was pretty quick wasn't it ? And SUPER EASY ! Now go on ahead and taste our yogurt snack ! YUMMY YUMMY YUMMY

Monsters University

I remember watching Monsters Inc when I was little, I remember how I was reluctant to watch the film because the whole "monsters" thing didn't sit well with me, I was so afraid of getting scared and having nightmares when I go to sleep. But finally, I plucked up the courage to watch it, and it turned out to be a wonderful film. The characters taught me about friendship and loyalty, and my favourite scene is when Sulley and Mike entered the place filled with doors when they were trying to escape the evil dude, Randall. The scene when Mike manages to recreate Boo's door so Sulley can visit her, never fails to bring tears to my eyes, seeing how happy Sulley is to be able to visit his little friend again.

I was pretty disappointed when the movie ended because I felt that it was such a wonderful story and I wanted to know what happens to characters from then on.

But this year, THERE'S A NEW MONSTERS INC MOVIE COMING OUT !! IS THAT CRAZY OR WHAT? It'll hit theatres in Singapore on June 20 ! That's in a couple of weeks time !
I am completely ecstatic about this new movie because it's gonna take me right back to my childhood.

This new movie is called Monsters University, but instead of being a continuation of the story, it's a prequel to Monsters Inc, so it's going to show us what the characters were like in the past, how Mike and Sulley became friends, events that happened before the entered Monsters Inc.

In our lives, before we go out to find a job, we'll have to go through college and university first. This is what it's like for the Monsters too ! So before Mike and Sulley started working for Monsters Inc, they had to attend University first. That is the reason why this movie is titled "Monsters University" it shows Mike and Sulley while they were in University ! Isn't that so much fun ?? MONSTERS in SCHOOL. Whoever thought that MONSTERS had to go to school too ?
It's definitely gonna be really crazy on campus !

Oh look ! There's Mike being a really funky disco ball ! And Sulley just WERKIN that dance move

And here's Mike again ! Looking EXTREMELY pumped up and ready for school ! I've never seen anyone so excited about school. Mike, you have my respect

Short Hiatus Note, Upcoming Posts & Videos etc

Hey Everyone ! I've been on a short hiatus because I'm extremely busy with schoolwork, exams and term projects ! But as the summer break is approaching, I will be back with my room tour, monthly favorites and even some college organization tips. I've got so many things I want to blog about, I want to tell you so much more about me and my life, and I PROMISE I will back with many more posts and videos. I can't wait to get out of school so I can spend more time on my blog and videos ;)

WOAH ! And I just took note that my Review On Taylor Swift's Wonderstruck and Enchanted Wonderstruck has received over A HUNDRED VIEWS !! And is approaching TWO HUNDRED VIEWS !! OH MY GOD ! Spring Accessories & Fashion Haul 2 (Forever 21, H&M, Cotton On, OhMySmoothies + more !)

I have a collective fashion haul for you guys today, filled with purchases I made from the past few weeks which I gathered into one big haul. I went to Cotton On, my favourite online store OhMySmoothies and a local boutique !

Starting with the 3 accessories that I got !

I realised my wardrobe was severely lacking in belts, in fact, I had no belts at all. So I decided to go get some. I found 3 belts that I really love. A chocolate-brown crochet belt from Forever 21, a black reptile print one from H&M, and a tan braided/weaved belt which I got for free at a local boutique when I made my purchase of a skirt, that I will show you further down this post.

And now for the clothes I got ! The first place I went to was Cotton On. No surprise there, in almost all my hauls, there'll definitely be something from Cotton On because I really love their brand. I feel that it's kinda Brandy Melville-ish, but in a good way. As we do not have any Brandy Melville outlets in Singapore, Cotton On is the next best alternative.

My new favourite shirt. It has these really cool Greek symbols that not many people would appreciate hence the reason why I was drawn to it, it's very unique. I've got a thing for Greek symbols which is why I wanna go to colleges with Greek sororities, as seen in the movies The House Bunny and Sydney White.

As many of you already know, I am crazy about bows and I think they're the cutest things ever ! So when I saw this top, I was like: "I have to get this ! This is so me !" I was completely flipping out right there in the store.

Next up are the items I ordered from my favourite online store OhMySmoothies !

I got this Topshop inspired DWEEB top at the rockin price of $8 when they were having a sale, it's a very trendy design and such a pretty shade of pink ! SCOREEEE ~
I've got so many ideas planned out for how I'm gonna wear this top, this bright colour is perfect for  spring and pairing it with highwaisted skirts and denim shorts will make cutest outfits !

I also got these 2 velvet skirts from the store, one in royal purple and one in oxblood. I got these skirts a while back, but strangely, I never included them in my previous haul. So I decided to include them in today's haul :D They're super soft and comfy, and wonderful quality. They can be dressed down with flowy chiffon tops and sneakers, or dressed up with a statement necklace and some heels. I'm definitely gonna get a lot of wear out of them.

I apologise for the weird quality in the photos of the skirts, velvet always ends up looking very weird in my camera.

Those are all the items I ordered from OhMySmoothies. Moving on to the purchases I made at locl boutique I recently discovered.

I love this top because it's in a very pretty and girly shade of pink, and has a very nice fit. It's a very casual tee for going to school, going out with friends or even going to the beach,

I realised I do not own single pair of black shorts so I decided to grab this. Black shorts are THE shorts everyone should own, they're very versatile and they go with EVERYTHING. I like the small rippings on the edges of these shorts, they make the shorts look even more casual. Good for the days when I just don't feel like dressing up and wanna dress in something that's non-fussy for a change, which is almost everyday in my life.

I got this skirt because it reminded me of something Bethany Mota would wear. I love Beth, she's one of my biggest inspirations and she's the one who helped me reinvent my style. (Blog post will be up real soon.) The skirt also came with the tan weaved/braided belt. So I got this set of skirt and belt for the amazing price of $12.90.

I really love anchors too. I have an anchor-spiked shoe, an anchor top, even an anchor necklace.

That is all the clothes I got in this haul !

Nail Updates: Poison Nails (+ a little Heart To Heart)

I decided to go for something a little less sweet than my previous mint green nails.

Life has been really rough for me lately, I guess this is my rebellion against all the hurt I've had to go through. I used to go very far out by expressing my frustration and pain by using dark gothic/vampish nails to symbolize that I've gone into my dark side, sort of like when Jean Grey became the vicious Dark Phoenix in X-Men. My friends know that it's a sign that I've reached my breaking point and wasn't gonna be the sweet and nice Cyan for awhile.

But I soon realised that I got slightly sick of my dark persona, and I wasn't going to be sweet Cyan when I'm still dealing with all these pain, so I went for something in the middle. I feel that these poison nails are the kind of nails the Wicked Witch or Medusa would have.
